A safe is essential if you have a gun at home. It is also essential that your safe is easy for you to use but difficult to access without your authorization.
Safes are made from tough, heavy gauge steel, typically half an inch thick. The safe may have two sheets of hard steel, with ball bearings sandwiched between the two layers. The ball bearings make drilling through the door or sides very difficult.
The door and lock are inherently the weakest points of any safe. Locking the safe door should operate hardened steel or titanium bolts on all four sides. Hinges are internal so that they do not present a weakness to an intruder.
Locks may be key, combination or fingerprint operated. The best safes have combinations of different types of lock and time delays before a lock will open.
Key locks can be picked, even the most complex key operated lock can be picked by an expert. An expert can find a combination code on a rotary combination dials fairly easily. A keypad combination is the best if you have a combination lock. There are no moving parts to go wrong, or to give clues to a safe cracker who is listening to the lock as he or she operates it.
It is important to keep the keypad clean. Dirty or clean keys give clues to anyone trying to get into your safe. Make sure the combination you choose bears no relationship to phone numbers, birth dates or any other data that can be guessed.
The best option is a fingerprint-operated lock. Then you can have absolute confidence that while your fingers are attached to your body that nobody will be able to open your safe without your knowledge.
A fingerprint operated lock combined with a keypad combination lock, or a second fingerprint operated lock set up for a second person provides the best security for air soft guns or valuables.
Fire protection is usually built into home safes, with layers of insulating material and expanding door seals that exclude oxygen and prevent combustion of the safe contents.

A mini blind (mini-blind, miniblind) is a type of non-vertical window blind made of long, narrow slats held together by string and located inside the window. Its slats are not as wide as venetian blind slats.2 A mini blind has more slats than a regular Venetian blind because its slats are narrow. The slats of mini window treatments are less than half the width of regular Venetian window coverings. The slats are opened and closed by rotating a rod or by directly pulling a string. They are raised and lowered by pulling other strings.

In 1946 Henry Sonnenberg and Joe Hunter developed technology and equipment for the production of lightweight aluminum slats (50 mm) for Venetian window treatments, and by 1979, 25 mm slats were popular.6

No later than January, the Attorney General shall commence development of regulations to implement a minimum safety standard for firearms safety devices and cheap airsoft guns safes to significantly reduce the risk of firearms-related injuries to children years of age and younger. The final standard shall do all of the following: Address the risk of injury from unintentional electric airsoft gunshot wounds. Address the risk of injury from self-inflicted electric airsoft air soft gunsshot wounds by unauthorized users. Include provisions to ensure that all firearms safety devices and cheap airsoft guns safes are reusable and of adequate quality and construction to prevent children and unauthorized users from firing the firearm and to ensure that these devices cannot be readily removed from the firearm or that the firearm cannot be readily removed from the airsoft gun safe except by an authorized user utilizing the key, combination, or other method of access intended by the manufacturer of the device. Include additional provisions as appropriate. The Attorney General may consult, for the purposes of guidance in development of the standards, test protocols such as those described in Title (commencing with Part ) of the Code of Federal Regulations, relating to poison prevention packaging standards. These protocols may be consulted to provide suggestions for potential methods to utilize in developing standards and shall serve as guidance only. The Attorney General shall also give appropriate consideration to the use of devices that are not detachable, but are permanently installed and incorporated into the design of a firearm. The Attorney General shall adopt and issue regulations implementing a final standard not later than January. The Attorney General shall report to the Legislature on these standards by January. The final standard shall be effective January.

The long horizontal slats are held one above the other by the rungs of window coverings shaped like a ladder. The lower ends of the legs of the window treatments are secured to the long rail under the slats. Their upper ends are attached to the drive rod in the housing, the elongated box above the slats. As the drive rod rotates, one leg of each ladder cord moves up while the other moves down, causing the angle of the slats to change. In one design, this rotation is achieved by pushing up or pulling down on a long handle called a tilt wand connected to the drive rod by a lever. Lift cords along the mini blinds are also attached to the rail. They pass through holes in the slats and into the housing above, where they go over pulleys, combine and exit through the cord lock. For safety it’s important that the lock always work. A downward pull on the main lift cord raises the slats by the cords pulling up the rail below the slats. The cord lock holds the main lift cord to keep the slats up until the cord is pulled to release the lock. The safety lock made the cord lock easier to use.
